INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS What's In The Name?
For activity 2 of INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS I had to pick a name if i wanted to rename myself so I picked Hamish because my family is Scottish and Hamish it a Scottish name. Also my middle name is Hamish. It was hard thinking of another name because I like my name because it is a Dutch name and my Opa's name is Arie to also known as Adriaan. But it was easy coming up with Hamish because it's my middle name so I should be allowed to make my first name Hamish and second name Arie. There is not much else to talk about so i'm just gonna end it here.
Hey Arie! Or should I say Hamish? :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you've thought really carefully about what you'd change your name to. I really like how you've explained the history behind your names as well - it's so special when your names have meaning like that. I'm named after a close family friend. It must be really hard for parents to decide what they want to call their children. Even naming a pet can be tricky!
Do you know much about your family's heritage?
Blog ya later! :)
Mikey
Hello, thank you for blogging again! You can just call me Arie by the way :) I know it is tricky with names so I had to go with my middle name or I would be there for a while. I do not know much about my family except my Mum's Dutch and my Dad's Scottish. Bye!
