For activity 3 of Cracking The Code I have to make a shape of code on code.org so here it is. It was hard figuring out everything but it was easy putting the title. This screenshot is my work in progress because it was too hard to finish. What it your favorite game?
This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note… some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Cracking The Code Overcoming Adversity
For activity two of Cracking The Code I have to Write about a challenge someone had and they overcame it. This is my story. My Oma and Opa have a dog called Calmel and she got breast cancer. INDIGENOUS RIGHTS Wise Words
For activity 3 of INDIGENOUS RIGHTS I have to tell my readers about a role model to me and geet him to share a piece of wisdom so there is not much else to say, i'm just gonna write it. I picked my Dad my dad is the biggest role model in my life because he's funny, he's nice and he is decently smart even though he says he is not. He teaches me lots of things about money like investing so here is a sentence he always says to me. "Do not spend all of your money on junk because you will never have more money in your life then when you were a kid." I hope this taught you not to spend money. But if you spend your money on junk then go for it. But i'm gonna follow my Dad's advice.
INDIGENOUS RIGHTS Celebrating Diversity
For activity 2 of INDIGENOUS RIGHTS I had to look at a few sites of groups. Next I have to pick 2 groups, tell you what they are called and tell you 2 facts of each. So here we go. My first one is called the Papuan People they help people's voices heard and help the poor people. The second one is The Inuit People. They improve peoples well being and help them. For activity 3 of Woman's Rights I have to write a story review for Emma Watson's book club that includes what I like about it and what it's about. So here we go. I pick Harry Potter which is my favorite book but I like the Movie better. I picked Harry Potter because I am into Magic and Wizard story's so it is the perfect book. Harry Potter is about a boy called Harry who's parents dies by getting killed by the most evil wizard in the world Voldemort so Harry has to live with his mean aunt and uncle and their little brat kid Dursley. But luckily Harry Potter gets accepted into Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At this school he meets to friends first Ronald Weaselly ( Rupert Grint ) ( That one kid who says bloody lots ) and Hermione Granger ( Emma Watson) ( One of the best well known actors ever) ( That smart kid that knows more then everyone else) This was my book review on Harry Potter. Woman's Rights The Right to an Education
For activity 2 of Woman's Rights I have had to write a 10 sentence story with at least 10 sentences and full points. I wrote about wizards because I think medieval things are cool. It was hard making it a short story because I wasn't able to add detail but it was easy deciding what I was going to do with the story. I had lots of fun playing with my story and some hard bits but overall it was a pretty good activity. If you are interested then go ahead and read my story.
Woman's Rights The Right to Vote

There is not much else I can say so i'm just gonna end it here. Do you like Hockey?

TAKING ACTION I Have a Dream
For activity 3 of TAKING ACTION I have to write about racism in America so here we go. In the 1960's there was a huge racism problem. White people and black people would have to be separated for everything and they were not allowed to be with the white people. It was like the white people were the bosses of the black people. But one day a black woman called Rosa Parks refused to give her seat up to a white person. Others were confused that she stood up to them and then it was a law that black and white people were not to be separated. And that changed the world. It was hard thinking of what other people thought because it did not say so I just wrote what I think they would act like but it was easy writing the problem. Have you had to deal with this problem before?
TAKING ACTION School Strike For Climate
For activity 2 of TAKING ACTION I have had to make a list of 3 facts about climate change and a thing I can do to help climate change. So here we go. 1. 2016 was the hottest year to ever been known 2. In February 1936 in North America was the coldest in all of America for a while. 3. The warmer it gets the higher sea level gets. To help climate change I will put my rubbish in the big to not pollute water. It was hard thinking of fact because I do not know much about climate change but it was easy figuring out what to do to help climate change.

TAKING ACTION A Long Walk to Freedom
For activity 1 of TAKING ACTION I had to make a journal entry if I were Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela is a man who got sent to a prison on Robben Island he only got a small cell with a straw mat for a bed. It was hard thinking of what work they would do because I have never knew because I have never been to prison before but it was easy describing the cell because I read a paragraph about it. If you are interested then take a look.

TAKING THE LEAD Dear Jacinda
For activity 3 of TAKING THE LEAD I have had to write a letter to Jacinder Ardurn about a problem in New Zealand that includes why we need to fix it and how we can fix it. I did my letter on pollution in water because it is harming the environment and the animals. It was hard finding an idea because New Zealand doesn't have many huge problems because it is a peaceful country but it was easy writing why we need to fix the pollution. Do you agree with we we need to fix pollution?
TAKING THE LEAD ( No Activity Name)
For activity 2 of TAKING THE LEAD I had to solve a math problem of how old Jessa Rogers was when she got a reward. So this is I worked it out. She was born on the 7th of April 2019 and got her reward on the 9th of July 2010 so here we got. I started of with years so I started with 1985 so added 15 which made it 2000 and then added 10 so the equals 25 so she is 25. Next I did months so I started at April and went to July and they are 2 months apart so she it 2 months old. And last was Days so I started on the 7th of April and counted up the the 9th of July and they are 93 days apart. So Jessa Rogers is 25 year's, 2 month's and 93 day's old. It was hard working out the days because there were so much but it was easy counting the years. Were you able to work this question out?

TAKING THE LEAD Playing Favorites
For Activity one of TAKING THE LEAD I have to write about 5 of my favorite thing to do and me doing it. So here are my things. First of all I like to draw because it’s relaxing and it makes me calm. For number 2 I like sleeping because I feel relaxed and warm, I guess that explains why I don’t want to get up in the morning. For Number 3 I picked playing video games because it is fun and makes me calm when I am mad. For my fourth thing I chose listening to music because because it makes me calm and happy. For Number 5 I picked reading because I like to use my imagination and picture the characters. It was hard thinking of my favorite things because normally it’s just drawing and playing video games but then I realized that I do more things then that but it was easy covering my face. The reason I was covering my face was because anyone can view my blog so it is not safe to reveal my face. Do you like doing any of these things? and it makes me calm. His real name is Jimmy and he has changed the lives of the homeless and helps the trees and that makes him the most nicest YouTuber on the planet. It was hard finding someone but I picked Mr Beast Because he is a YouTuber who give out money to those in need. But is was easy knowing why I picked him.

INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS What's In The Name?
For activity 2 of INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS I had to pick a name if i wanted to rename myself so I picked Hamish because my family is Scottish and Hamish it a Scottish name. Also my middle name is Hamish. It was hard thinking of another name because I like my name because it is a Dutch name and my Opa's name is Arie to also known as Adriaan. But it was easy coming up with Hamish because it's my middle name so I should be allowed to make my first name Hamish and second name Arie. There is not much else to talk about so i'm just gonna end it here.
INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS Making A Racket
For activity 1 of INDIVIDUAL PURSUITS I had to watch a video of how Venus and Serena Williams are getting payed less then men tennis players. I have to talk about 3 things I got from the video and 1 question, so here we go. First of all the people paying them less the the men should make it equal so they have the same they both put in the hard effort. Second of all the people paying them are a little bit sexist because men and woman both work hard and both do the same amount of work so they need the same money even though they are woman. The woman are not happy with their pay and they want the same amount which they should get. My question is " Why do men get more then woman?" It was hard knowing what was going on because they were using big words but when they used smaller words I knew what they were saying. Do you think they should get payed the same?

UP IN THE AIR Miracle On The Hudson
For Activity 3 of UP IN THE AIR we have had to read about a Miracle On The Hudson. The Miracle On Hudson is a story of how a plane crashed but the pilot landed the plane in the Hudson River with all of the passengers still alive. For this activity we have to talk about a scary thing that happened to you or someone you know where you or someone you know were in danger and had to do something about it. So Here is mine. One time me and my big brother Sam were crossing a road and a car was coming but Sam said we should go but he did not see the car. Luckily I saw it though so I said " NO!" and then the car went past so we crossed back to our house It was hard thinking of a time because I don't have lot of dangerous stuff in my life but it was easy writing the story.
UP IN THE AIR one small step for man
For Activity 2 of UP IN THE AIR I have to pretend I am Neil Armstrong the first person on the Moon. I had to make a Poem Describing what it is like on the moon. I picked SPCA because I love animals and they need more respect because they are living things just like us and we should treat them that way. SPCA stand for Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. It was hard finding out what SPCA stood for but easy knowing why they did it. Have you donated or adopted a pet from the SPCA?
Explorers Discovering Aotearoa
Activity 2 for Explorers says I need to write about where I come from so here we go. I am Scottish, Dutch and NZ European. I know, a pretty weird combination. My dad is Scottish which is why my last name is Macdonald. Macdonald is a Scottish clan also the most popular clan in all of Scotland. My mum's side of the family is Dutch so that't why my Opa And Oma's last name is Geerlofs a Dutch last name. And I was born in New Zealand but I am not Maori so that means i'm NZ European. Today I learnt about The Water Project. The Water Project is an organization that helps to give water to the people that do not have access to fresh, clean water. The Water Projects goal is to give everyone fresh water and help stop hydration and diseases. The Water Project works in the places that need water like Africa. The Water Project has achieved the goal and brung the numbers of sickness down which has made the world a much better place. The Social Network
Today Emma came to our school to let us do the Summer Learning Journey Teaser so this is what I picked. I picked science, Technology & invention. Since I picked that I have to list 5 things to stay safe online, so here we go. First of all you should never share your password or others can login to your account and potentially change your password and you would never be able to go back into your account again. Second of all you should never go on dangerous websites if you don't know how its dangerous then go to my post that will teach you how. Third of all do not post inappropriate pictures or videos because you belong to you only. The Fourth rule is never let people see your address if your live and making a video. And number 5, the last rule is if anyone is being mean or rude online then block them. I hope this helped you to be cyber smart online.

How To Know If Something Is Fake Online
Today we had to write down a list of ideas that will help us know if someone is trying to now our personal info or if you are on a dangerous website, so I am going to show you how to know. The first this you need to check for the website is the URL if it has a green lock then its safe but if it has spaces in the URL then it is dangerous and a fake website. But if your getting an email then here is how to know if its good or bad. It is a bad email if someone asks for a password or credit card details. For example last Thursday the class saw an animal called the tree octopus. It was on a website with lots of information but lots of the pictures looked really fake. Then I looked at the URL and it did not have a lock and it had spaces in the URL so at that moment I new that it was fake. It was hard figuring out if it were real or fake but easy researching to find if it was true. I hope this has taught you how to stay safe online and not go onto dangerous websites.

Dream Destination
Today we have been learning about people posting pictures of them on the internet and how some are not true so today we learnt how people did it. First we took a picture of our self's on the Ipad and then went to Remove .BG to remove the background and then we went to unsplash.com to download a cool looking picture. Then we were done. It was hard figuring out all of the links but easy picking a cool background. Have you made a fake photo before?
Hangi
On the 21 of November we cooked up a hangi. A hangi is what the Maori people used to cook their food, it was just like a Maori Oven. First we had to dig the hole which took about 3 hours. Then we had to make sure both of the sides of the hole could fit 2 trays and have no loose dirt in it. Next we put the 2 cages in and then came the part, we got to scrunch up the news paper and throw it in. It was super fun doing it because normal you would
get told off for throwing paper balls. once we did that we had to place some iron into the pit and then throw in sticks after that we put tart over it and covered it we had to make sure we kept all of the steam inside the tart with the food to make sure the steam cooked it. It was hard using the shovel in the Hangi because it was heavy and i'm pretty weak. But it was easy putting in the food. Have you ever had a Hangi?

Kenning's
Today in homeroom time I learnt what a Kenning is. A kenning is just like a Poem but it describes something. To make a Kenning you need a topic, about 3 sentences to describe it and good clues, for example... You pick a dog so you could say I am a good sniffer, I am a messy eater, I am a fast runner. You can make it anything as long as it ends with er at the end and it makes sense with you Topic. I made my own Kenning but I am going to let you guess what it is, Here are the clues...

Time For Public Transport
Today we learnt about times for public transport. Things like when the vehicles start and when to get off the vehicle. We did our math focusing on the time and places of a London Train. The stations were called Leatherhead, Epsom, Wimbledon, Clapham Junction and Waterloo, Which are pretty funny names. We also got told the times. First we had to recreate the time table for when the train start and stop. And we got 3 questions for all of the times of the trains, For example it would ask you how long does it take to get from Leatherhead to Epsom Leatherhead's time is 7:10 and Epsom's time is 7:15 so the answer would be 5 minutes. It was hard learning about the times for the trains because I have never been on one in my life but it was easy once I got the hang of it. Have you ever been on a train before?
Texture
Today I finished making a piece of art made from texture. Texture is one of the 7 elements of art. Texture gives you the ability to make it look like your drawing is coming out of the paper. First we had to draw different types of textures which were really hard because I did not know any textures. After that we got a piece of paper we had to write the first letter of our name on it and make tons of textures on the rest of the paper. It was really hard finding out new textures but really easy to draw them once I new what they looked like. Have you ever done this in art class? If you did then why don't you tell me how it went?

Learning How To Surf
On the 8th of November we learnt how to surf. First we did the roll and got onto the bus to head for sum nu beach. Once we got taught how to use a surf board and then we got taught what we had to do. Learn how to stand up, how to be safe and of course how to know a good wave. Miss McG's class was first so that was me they gave us a board and strapped it on our ankle so it would not float away. At first I was scared because I know the ocean is a very dangerous place but after a while I was way more confident and I could stand up onto my board. It was hard holding my board because I am really small so it was hard using my little tiny arms but easy surfing. I really like surfing and I definitely
want to do it again some time. Have you ever been surfing before.

How to say (where is - kei hea) in Maori
Today in Te Reo Maori we learnt how to say where is but in Te Reo Maori it is kei hea, where is it and where and where are in Te Reo Maori. It was hard because I do not now how to speak Maori an all so I was very confused but it was pretty easy finding out what I had to do. If your Maori sentence has an a in it the it means is. If your sentence has a te it means the. And if it has a nga in it, it means are, it also means multiple. My buddy was Tyler and you can check his blog for his post about this HERE. This was my Te Reo Maori learning this week I hope you learned something from it.
Decimats
Today in math we learnt what decimats are. Decimats are boxes to help you sort out fractions like 1/3 of 3 and 1/2 of 6, here is what we did! First Mrs Woolley gave us a decimat which looks like a rectangle box, then we told us to make it into 1/2 so we put a line through the box. Next she told us to make it into 1/4 so we put a line through the box but across the rectangle. After that she told us to cut the box into eight so we did. Last of all she told us to shade in one of the eighths and then she asked " What's the fraction?" We all said 1/8 it was hard keeping up with all of the steps but easy to use the decimat. How interesting!
